Again a short review. Who of us would have thought at the beginning of 2020 how the year would develop? At this point, numerous preparations are already underway in the ENO. Trade fairs are planned, products are processed according to strict time specifications and committees are prepared. The insider meeting was also on the trail. The cooperation partners have given the green light.

At the end of 2019, companies had taken advantage of the package in large numbers. You were now in a lively exchange with us. Who is standing where in the exhibition hall, how is the public relations work and what will the concrete daily program look like? The fact that many hours (we're talking about a few hundred) were cut short by the message "the insider meeting cannot take place as planned" was not a very nice feeling. Sick stomachs, resigned faces. What now? That was the question.  

Made a virtue out of necessity

I'm usually the motivator. looking ahead Just take the circumstances and think about what to do. Here - specifically for the insider meeting - that was not necessary at all. The team was immediately in Plan B mode. We make the fair virtual. The first sobering offers from existing providers did not deter us. We then approached the partner with a good solution - our own solution - and received approval. Thanks to Peter Schade and his company Drantos - we wouldn't have been able to do it in 2020 without you. We learnt. There were good suggestions and constructive criticism. But the idea was born. In addition to the real trade fair in Löbau, there is always a virtual possibility of a tour of the trade fair.  

My expectations are exceeded

Oh well. Here I can abbreviate. In 2021, too, the virtual supplement is the actual trade fair program. You can find that bad. But I am happy about the ingenious solution, which in my opinion is unparalleled in view of the circumstances :). Luckily there was feedback from 2020. We recorded this, this was our specification to optimize the "virtual insider meeting" product. What have we changed? This is beyond the scope - here is a summary: Navigation and functionalities have been adapted in countless points based on your suggestions. Ideally, each of you makes your own picture. We also need feedback in 2021.  

And for whom the effort? 

For you, for everyone who is interested. But above all for our students. 140 companies show up, to whom I am very grateful. A trade fair like this makes no sense without specific training occupations. 14 exciting exhibition halls await. Over 200 training occupations are presented. Not just as text. Wherever we have material, there are films, photos and extensive download options. A highlight for me is the Hall of Studies. Six faculties of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences will show you their fields of study. In order to get this up and running, not only many, many hours are necessary. We are also pushing our limits financially. Now the offer has to be accepted. Nice alone is not enough! There must be a benefit... I'm looking forward to the evaluations!
