"Come on tour" My strengths, my future
An adventure course for students

"Which job suits me?" Many students in the upper grades ask themselves this question. In order to be able to find an answer to this, they should first be aware of their strengths. Can you communicate well? Are they creative, social or good organizers? With “Komm auf Tour” they were able to find out.

This strengths course took place for the seventh time in the district of Görlitz. 950 students in grades seven and eight from 21 secondary schools and special needs schools registered this year. The young people could go on a discovery tour at the labyrinth, storm-free booth, time tunnel and stage stations. At these stations, the task was to master tasks in a playful way and collect strength points in the process. The supervisors at the stations handed out stickers for the seven strengths of the tour: My order, My imagination, My speeches, My numbers, My hands, My services and My animal green thumb. At the end of the course, the participants found out which professions best match the strength points they have collected.  

On Wednesday, December 14th, 2022, a parents' evening was held in the exhibition hall to give parents the opportunity to see the "komm auf Tour" course. More than 100 parents took advantage of this offer.  

Over 100 helpers were on site as travel companions during the week from December 12th to 16th to support students and teachers. Reliable partners were Bautzen Employment Agency, Görlitz District Job Center, Nursing Training Advisory Team, Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Niederschlesien eG, Görlitz Clinic, Nestor Görlitz, OL Specialist Network, Görlitz Euro Academy, Görlitz District Craftsmen’s Association, bao GmbH, District Office, Bernd Rohr- und Kanalservice, Johanniter, IHK Görlitz and the IHK Dresden.

The responsible body for the project is the school and sports department of the district of Görlitz. It is funded by the Employment Agency and the Ministry of Education. The ENO was responsible for the organizational implementation. Come on tour is an offer of professional orientation, which is realized by the company Sinus - Office for Communication from Cologne.
