Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone,

The year 2021 is coming to an end and the automatic replies to my emails "I'll be gone then" are increasing. Time for a first little review, of course from the point of view of the ENO MD.

In January we were still hoping that everything would get better again this year, that we could get back on track. Whereby – “normal in the ENO” is always relative. Well, it quickly became apparent that we would be under enormous pressure again. Flexibility, creativity and inventiveness were required in order to be able to continue to implement our projects and processes. We've had practice with it by now. I'm proud that no one from #TeamENO gave up. On the contrary. Everyone was looking for solutions and alternatives.

In addition to the Corona situation, we had to overcome another major challenge. More than ten new colleagues flocked to the ENO full of energy. Breathing our ENO gene into them within a short period of time was a big task for everyone. Our strength lies in this ENO gene. The new colleagues have arrived at the ENO. That's a great achievement. It is now a matter of using the full potential of the large team that has grown together.

Even though the road through 2021 was a rocky one, we have achieved a lot. I am sure that our 2021 annual report will again provide impressive evidence of this. We will draw energy and optimism for the coming year from our pride in what we have achieved and from our successes. It would be illusory to think that 2022 will be a normal year again. What is "normal" in the ENO?  😊

The #priceless country would like to accompany you through the next year. The new calendar is here - and it makes it clear once again that our daily commitment to the district of Görlitz is worthwhile. So thank you all for the active support! All partners, acquaintances, supporters, committees and friends - THANK YOU for your strong support.

I could also currently contribute a lot of motifs and good stories to the calendar. I am delighted with the many decorated houses, the countless Moravian stars and the luminous collars (which go really well with the Christmas spirit) of our four-legged friends 😊. Here you will find a totally chic story under the title " Where Christmas is at home ".  My cover picture today is also from the category – simply beautiful to look at. A snapshot from Bremenhain from the 4th Advent.

Many clubs, municipalities and initiatives are trying to give us all a smile right now. For example, I am enthusiastic about the musical advent calendar in Weißwasser.  So much effort - so much attention to detail. And every click is a small thank you to the initiators! So take a look everyone.

I wish you wonderful holidays with your loved ones. Merry Christmas.
