Update on the business location

It's been two years since we created the brochure "In the Heart of Europe - The Business Location of the District of Görlitz".

In printed and digital form, the brochure provided a comprehensive picture of the hard and soft location factors. For the first time we had created an attractively designed, informative and advertising-free tool for district marketing. However, the declared goal was also to always keep an eye on what is up-to-date. Created once, printed by the thousands and then gathering dust in the basement for years – many brochures suffer this miserable fate. Our business brochure should be doing better. At that time only a small edition was printed, which is now almost sold out. A good time for an update.

For a few weeks now, our students Jenny and Franz have been digging through the tables of the Saxony State Statistical Office and other portals in order to update all the statistical information and diagrams in the brochure. Not an easy task. In the meantime, however, they have almost all the information together.  

We also take a look at each page of the brochure in terms of content. All texts are checked for validity and changed if necessary. Some topics are completely eliminated. Others are new. The area of ​​research facilities will be made more extensive in order to be able to correspond to the current positive developments. The category of commercial areas also requires extensive renewal. Thanks to the support of hard-working colleagues, we are already on it. By March 2023 we want to have the process completed and the new brochure available. Then there should also be an English version.

In the current work phase, we are still very open to suggestions and suggestions as to content. Is there a topic that we haven't considered yet? Should we include more information on a topic?
