Hello!
A lot has happened here in the ENO on Elisabethplatz in the past few days: suddenly our IT expert was hardly to be seen behind all the new monitors, computers and telephones, all still packed in large boxes - then he was just whirling around , in order to set up ten new jobs in time for the beginning of May. Everything is now prepared so that the gigantic task of structural change can get off to a STRONG start.
STRONG?
Yes, that's the name of the program of the Federal Office of Economics, within the framework of which the economy at the coal-fired power plant locations is to be promoted and which, in addition to other funding programs, gives the go-ahead for structural change. "Strengthening the transformation dynamics and awakening in the mining areas and at the coal-fired power plant sites" is the official and advertised statement. No wonder that we simply call our new working group the Structural Change working group. With the help of the new colleagues, ideas from the population and the communities will soon be examined and the resulting projects that support the transformation process towards an ecologically, economically and socially sustainable economic structure will hopefully be funded.
The municipal team and the innovation team, together with the assistance team (to which I belong and which has the task of providing transparent information about everything that is pending), are now given two weeks to familiarize themselves thoroughly and then swarm out into the district in order to work together with the municipalities to nothing less than developing the future of the region.
If you or you have had a business idea for a long time, as a family, friend, club or company, you have been thinking about how to improve, modernize or create something new on site, then our AG is Structural Change the contact person. Get involved in the regional innovation process so that we can all shape the big upcoming changes together!
In any case, politicians are serious about citizen participation - not only because they learned from the experience of structural change in the 1990s, but also because local people simply know what has always been needed or wanted, but up until now just couldn't be addressed properly. Because it failed because of money, specific implementation tips, project management, the lack of funding or the completion of complicated funding applications - or because you simply couldn't find any comrades-in-arms for a great idea. Or because, for example, someone from Zittau knew that someone from Görlitz and someone from Weißwasser had the same great business idea, but didn't really know how to set up the business together over the distance.
This is about to change STRONGLY!
The Structural Change working group will not only collect ideas from the population, examine them and provide support in almost every area, it will also bundle and merge synergies. We will keep you up to date on when the exciting workshops, meetings and conferences (unfortunately only possible online at the moment) will take place, but we will also inform you when direct dialogue from person to person can finally continue again.
So it's worth checking www.plusmimus.com , https://www.wirtschaft-goerlitz.de/index.php/strukturwandel or directly at http://strukturwandel.landkreis.gr/ and the Facebook Subscribe to the pages of the district of Görlitz https://www.facebook.com/landkreis.gr
I look forward to reporting much more about the new colleagues in the coming week!
