The question of how rural regions remain viable in times of mobility transition is becoming increasingly urgent. With the “MoNaBe” project – short for mobility, local supply and meeting stations – the ENO/Taskforce in the Görlitz district wants to develop innovative solutions for exactly this. The aim is to combine mobility, local supplies and social encounters and thus increase the quality of life in rural areas

Central Germany is planning a 1,100 km long distribution network for green hydrogen - because the demand for green hydrogen and its generation capacities will increase rapidly in Central Germany by 2040. Innovative teaching internships: the successful model project of the TU Dresden for East Saxony is entering the next round.

In May and June of this year, more than a dozen teaching students from TU Dresden a groundbreaking internship at two high schools in Lusatia. As part of a model project against the shortage of teachers in East Saxony ( we reported ), they turned the canceled lessons into learning hours. These students helped children in Zittau and Weißwasser to develop independent learning, as project leader Anke Langner, professor in the TU Faculty of Education , explained on the occasion of the continuation of the project.

The fourth Hydrogen Forum Oberlausitz (WFO) took place on November 27, 2023 at the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology (IWU) in Zittau. Hello Emilia , you grew up in Brandenburg and did your bachelor's degree in Bremen in the international degree program Applied Leisure Science . This was followed by your master's degree at the HSZG , here in Görlitz, in the subject of international tourism management . Please explain to us how you came to the HSZG.

During my internship in Berlin as part of my bachelor's degree, I realized that I wanted to deepen my studies. I researched suitable master's degree programs. The Bremen University of gave me a list of recommendations for further study programs and universities - including the HSZG. Since my friend did his bachelor's degree in Görlitz, the city was no stranger to me and I didn't wait long to make my decision and move.

9th Energy Congress “Energy transition to phase out the crisis” of the Lower Silesian Institute for Energy Studies – DISE Energy took place in Wrocław The congress offered actors from politics and business a platform to discuss the energy transition and look for common solutions. The conference participants received an insight into the Polish energy and environmental technology industry as well as the opportunity to make interesting contacts with relevant industry representatives, not only from Poland.
