Good, intensive hours

Good, intensive hours

Hello!

Over 20 interested citizens came together at the first Lausitz Café

Last Friday they dedicated themselves together to the challenges that arise locally and discussed intensively their ideas and possible solutions in the structural development process. Jörg Funda , the mayor of Schleife, personally opened the Lausitz Café and was pleased that the town, which was particularly affected by coal mining and the phase-out, was not only making such good progress with the health center (which was co- planned with the support of the ENO ), but also also that so many committed people used this Friday evening to get involved in the structural change process .

Our innovation team invited guests to inspire - and let them inspire - the guests in randomly assembled groups "World Café" method The participants went through stations at four tables where they were asked to submit their ideas. cities optimization of the ENO format " Speed " (" Systematic Project Development Successful Implementation ") and the future of LEAG were discussed .

2024 02 02 Blog Wilhlemine Buscha ENO speaks big

Innovation manager Wilhelmine Buscha explains the format of the Lausitz Café to the guests

SKC: The Sorbian Cultural Center (SKC) is looking for ways to become even more attractive and modern for visitors. The challenges: on the one hand, the SKC has to be renovated in terms of energy efficiency, and on the other hand, through the use of digital media within the exhibitions, for example, it should become a tourist "hot spot" in Schleife. The ideas formulated were numerous: they ranged from yet-to-be-defined interactive exhibitions in the SKC to concrete solutions for or against vacancies in the district's inner cities.

City initiative against vacancies: The initiative, which is committed to the entire district to reduce vacancies in the cities and make the city center more attractive, invited people to think along. The discussion participants could, for example, imagine more green spaces, cozy meeting places and pop-up stores (short-term establishment of commercial or art projects in empty retail units) to revitalize city centers.

SPEED: Some ideas also came together about the greater distribution, publicity and further expansion of the ENO format "Speed" : it is currently intended to support associations and citizens in project development and funding applications. But how can you make it even more effective? Participants contributed ideas such as a project database and video tutorials to simplify data protection topics.

2024 02 02 Katzmarek Graduation Lauaitz Café

Lusatian with a sense of mission: Lars Katzmarek, also known as the Lausitz rapper

LEAG : Regional Manager Green Business Lars Katzmarek , who also acts as a DGB district ambassador and is running as an SPD candidate for the 2024 state elections in the Cottbus constituency, answered questions for LEAG. Above all, he explained and answered questions about the "green" conversion of the LEAG after the coal phase-out - because LEAG is planning its future with renewable energies. The focus is on the vision of a Gigafactory and the expansion of solar and wind energy. Lars Katzmarek emphasized on behalf of LEAG; that open communication with communities and citizens is crucial in order to create acceptance for these changes and that both he and LEAG can be contacted at any time.

We at the Unbezahlbarland blog also spoke to him about the future of Lausitz, LEAG and the opportunities that structural change brings. You can read the interview with him on Friday in our UBL blog!

ENO innovation manager Wilhelmine Buscha , who herself looked after the ENO-SPEED table as “host”, briefly summarizes the 8th Lausitz Café: she is pleased with the very good, relaxed atmosphere and the very nice and spacious location. “It was of course particularly nice that Mayor Jörg Funda was there and greeted everyone so warmly at the beginning, an appreciation,” she explains. “You can also be satisfied with the results – we were able to write down a lot of innovative ideas at the tables that now need to be tested,” says Wilhelmine.

She and her teammate Saskia Brosius would like to emphasize one more thing: in principle, every club or every initiative can and should contribute their concerns - This email address is being protected from spam bots! Enough - we'll get back to you and perhaps discuss your concerns as early as April 9th at the Lausitz Café in the southern district (location to be announced later)!

Best regards

Your Wilhelmine, Saskia, Ivana and
