Commitment day in Boxberg

Commitment day in Boxberg

Warm invitation to a world premiere - Boxberg celebrates the commitment! On the first day of the engagement, citizens who are active in clubs, initiatives, social and church institutions and associations in the municipality of Boxberg/OL will present their offers for residents and guests.

Next Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., over 30 initiatives from the entire community will be presenting themselves, as well as the large table tennis tournament to mark the 60th anniversary of TTG 1964 Boxberg and the natural and regional market . On the occasion of this special day, we spoke to Romy Ganer from Denken Boxberg eV , who, as the organizer of the first day of the engagement, really looking forward to next Saturday. Because the planning for this day has been going on behind the scenes for quite a long time...

"The idea came about before the Corona period. Last year we started planning specifically and inviting everyone who is involved here in the greater Boxberg community." explains Romy Ganer. “We are very pleased that over 30 participating clubs and initiatives will be there,” she reports. This would certainly bring together “over 150 people” who would present their commitment. Districts will also introduce themselves as a community - with their clubs.

There will be concerts, lectures, workshops, entertaining further training courses for digital applications, dance, games for the little ones and many other inspirations and opportunities to participate, so that one or the other will certainly feel like exploring their interests, inclinations and... To engage talent accordingly in the future. And there will also be information events for those involved: for example, how to apply for funding and how to get the tax return correct for your own club, explained by experts.

Romy Ganer is already proud of the many participants.

"I'm so pleased that there will be so many people involved on the farm and at the Boxberg school - it's a cause that so many people put their heart and soul into." reports Romy Ganer. “And there can be more,” adds the organization manager, because “on Saturday, everyone who may only decide to take part at the very last second can get a stand until 9 a.m. by calling 0162 26 36 333. We "We just want to make it possible for everyone from the larger community to take part," she smiles. "First of all, we're happy that the whole organization worked so well in advance!"

Romy Ganer is particularly enthusiastic not only about the large number of associations and initiatives - from A for "Aktion Civilcourage" to the beekeeping association to W for "Wasserwacht DRK-Kreisverband Weißwasser", but also about a special form of application: "We have a special one Have a song written by artificial intelligence click here and come with your children and children on Saturday, May 25th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of the Boxberg schools, Diesterwegstraße 37 in 02943 Boxberg/O.LSchule Boxberg, Diesterwegstraße 37 in 02943 Boxberg/OL .!" She invites all residents of the district. “It definitely won’t be boring!”
