We warmly invite you to a Lausitz Café, where we would like to exchange ideas with experts and interested parties about the future of crafts in Lusatia, Saxony.
In collaboration with the AutonomousLausitz of the Dresden Chamber of Crafts, we cordially invite you to the Lausitz Café “Foundation and Handover - Perspectives in Crafts” on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 4:30 p.m. in the Hafenstübchen on the Telux site in Weißwasser.
The Lausitz Café is an entertaining and interactive event where interested parties, potential founders, small business owners and established entrepreneurs can get to know each other and exchange ideas at “Kaffee & Quark”.
“Basically, it’s about not always just getting input from expert groups, but also from the people who ultimately want to implement the many ideas. That's why we design the Lausitz Café around very specific topics and questions. It is important to us that not only is there a lot of talking, but that what is said is also implemented,” says Wilhelmine Buscha from the innovation team of the Structural Change Task Force.

Why is it worth taking part?
The Lusatian craft industry faces a variety of challenges that often cannot be overcome alone. The exchange of experiences and individual advice are crucial here. Around 31% of business founders in the 1990s are already aged 55 or older, which means that succession will have to be arranged for many companies in the next ten years. In-house handovers are becoming increasingly rare, and handovers are not always successful on the first attempt.
That's why more time and effective measures are needed today to pass on the business. Young people with fresh ideas and a willingness to start a business are essential for a successful handover. Economic development and structural change also offer numerous opportunities for a career in crafts in Lusatia .
We look forward to your participation and an active exchange. Click here for registration .
