This further training from IHI Zittau makes employers fit for the future: The challenges of the labor market and the response from IHI Zittau
With declining numbers of employees and an increasing shortage of skilled workers, many companies are facing major challenges. To help employers address these issues, the International University Institute (IHI) Zittau is offering new training for managers. The aim of this further training is to enable small and medium-sized companies to establish a permanent and motivated employee base in the long term.
The importance of long-term employee retention
“If you consider that a third of employees in the region will reach retirement age in the next few years, it becomes clear: companies now have to think about how they can still attract suitable employees and, above all, their employees in the company “We can hold on,” Johanna Steuber (cover photo, employee in the further training team) answers the question about the original idea behind the further training concept.
“Perhaps employees are not even aware of the advantages they enjoy in your company, but perhaps it is time for changes in human resources work, simply because some people’s life situations have changed.” So employers need to know their strengths and learn from them stand out from the competition and use these characteristics specifically to attract and retain employees. Because a stable and committed team is the key to sustainable success on the market.
The “Cultural Fit” training: Finding, retaining and winning back employees
Cultural Fit training course should be about. This tailor-made further training includes four seminars and an individual, company workshop.
The participating companies will first look at their own corporate culture:
How do we work together and how do we want to work together?
So who suits us and will feel comfortable in our company?
How can we make our working conditions flexible and needs-based according to our goals?
Simple but effective methods of human resources work are then taught, which aim not only to attract more suitable applicants, but also to strengthen relationships with existing employees and avoid churn
The events will also provide plenty of space for exchange between the participating companies. In this way, participants can learn from the experiences and proven processes of other companies, but also develop new ideas and strategies together.
