“Young Lausitz” supports young people’s candidacies for municipal office with 2,000 euros. What is this innovative offer about?
Anyone who wants to stand up for Lusatia and take on responsibility in the local elections in Brandenburg or Saxony has the chance to receive booster scholarship from Junge Lausitz Young Lausitz association , which with our Structural Change Task Force Görlitz district , supports young candidates across all parties with up to 2,000 euros to finance innovative election campaign and information offerings.
Saskia Brosius , innovation and project manager in the ENO task force, is pleased to be on the jury Wilhelmine Buscha This means they have a say in the awarding of the booster scholarships. A great project, as both agree: "This year, young people in many communities have the opportunity to get involved in local politics. The booster scholarships from 'Junge Lausitz' are fantastic support to make the election campaign easier. Deserving special recognition From my point of view, the aspect is that the scholarships are awarded across party lines and the focus is also on mutual networking." The two project managers are particularly pleased that "Lausitz is already
across federal states ."
Looking forward to exciting people and ideas: Saskia Brosius
The booster scholarships are intended to make the 2024 local election campaign “more ambitious” than previous election campaigns. Lusatia is facing huge changes and therefore important decisions about the direction in which the region will develop. These directional decisions must be a topic in the election campaign: "We cannot afford to only talk about people and parties in the local election campaign instead of talking about the issues that are now relevant for the region. That's why we want to support you in making Lusatia better ." says the “Junge Lausitz”, with whom the Structural Change Task Force has already successfully cooperated .
So of course we now support the project and the candidates.
The booster scholarships are intended to support diverse young personalities who:
- will run for a party, for a list or as a non-party candidate in the 2024 local elections in Brandenburg or Saxony
- share the goals of the Young Lausitz Perspective Plan
- want to implement a passion project in their local government
- Place at least one demand from the perspective plan prominently in your election campaign
- see structural change as an opportunity
- stand for Lusatia, e.g. through volunteer work , your job, etc.
- have a non-partisan mindset
- share the Young Lausitz values compass
- to the free-democratic basic order and the Basic Law .
