Hello!
Around 160 interested people turned up online and offline for our 3rd Upper Lusatia Hydrogen Forum, which ENO organized last week together with strong partners from the region, but above all within the DurchcH2ventilator
Radio Lausitz , the Lausitzer Rundschau and the New Lausitz Briefing are well represented).
The first part of the exciting and intensive event on the Siemens Energy Campus was about approval procedures with a focus on green hydrogen. Firstly from the point of view of the legislator , but also from that of the approval authorities and from an expert point of view - in this case that of DEKRA. After the presentation of an approval guide came the practical examples. The participants were clearly shown the procedure for approving H2 systems and hydrogen filling stations Even if many smart people around the world are still researching the production of green hydrogen - as soon as it becomes profitable and efficient, there is hardly anything standing in the way of implementing this great energy supplier in the district of Görlitz, Saxony and Lusatia!
After a lunch break, during which exchange and curiosity led to ideas and plans - but in any case to networking among the actors - the head of the economic department of the district, Thomas Rublack, welcomed and led to the presentation of the overall energy concept for the district of Görlitz . Our colleague Lisa Bergmann , who was responsible for project coordination for the 3rd hydrogen forum, led the afternoon together with other experts. In the following, the expansion of renewable energies and the power grids as well as the transformation of the heat supply and potential for the production of green hydrogen were discussed and the opportunities for more regional added value in our district discussed.
We met ENO project manager Lisa Bergmann shortly after this extremely successful event. – she was kind enough to answer a few questions for our pricelessland blog.
Hello Lisa, together with our colleagues Heike Schleussner and Per Wiesner, led the 3rd WFO with confidence - after months of pulling the strings in the background. What was it like for you to be responsible for such a large and important event?
Lisa Bergmann: It was something very special for me to manage this large hydrogen forum project in advance. Of course, with Heike and Per we are a great team, but it was exciting just to deal with the technical things. I am happy that I have a basic understanding of technical and physical things and that I took a physics advanced course in high school. That helped me tremendously to put myself in the place of the complex processes.
...you moderated, presented and communicated well - just like ENO Managing Director Sven Mimus at the forum - confidently, quickly and sympathetically. You didn't notice any excitement - but hand on heart - didn't your pulse beat a little faster when you were standing in front of all the experts...?
Lisa: Yes, of course! Even though I love to learn and even though I really see energy as my topic at the ENO - it was something very special to speak in front of all the experts. After all, they've all been working on various topics for years, all of which revolve around energy or hydrogen... Of course, as a project manager, who has to be an all-rounder, you're a little unsure at first. With my BA in taxation and auditing/consulting and my master's degree in international management at the IHI Zittau - TU Dresden and my double degree at the TU Liberec, I'm of course also an expert in some way - but primarily for something completely different...(smiles) . Even though there was a lot to do and learn, I have to say that I'm really happy that the WFO is enjoying more and more popularity. And the fact that I was sent into the race with so much trust by the ENO, specifically by the management, Sven Mimus, who moderated the entire forum that day in a great, informative and entertaining way, makes me really happy. The highlight for me is the encouragement of those present - and especially the written encouragement from our district administrator, who was connected to us online:
If you are now starting to be interested in hydrogen and renewable energies here in the priceless country - can you already read about the results of the 3rd Hydrogen Forum somewhere and make a note of a new date, or should you get in touch first?
Lisa (laughs): Yes, three times! The approval process and the study presentation – “Overall energy concept for the district of Görlitz“ can be read here. You can already enter November 8th in Zittau as the date in your calendar - more will follow - and of course you can read about it here on the UBL blog. And the last yes - I am happy about every interested letter under:
Thank you for these insights and information, dear Lisa - see you next time!
Best regards!
