CCRR - not the footballer in a double pack

CCRR - not the footballer in a double pack

I chose the title of our project proposal. Why does it always have to sound complicated? No idea. But just talking about aircraft recycling is apparently not good enough. So we call it CCRR - Center for Component Remunufaturing, Repair & Recycling. A model project for complete material recycling in aircraft construction.

Yes - I had that before here in the blog. At the time I was a little annoyed. The application could not be pursued further. Reason: a partner dropped out due to the well-known pandemic situation. Thank you to many of you for the numerous and encouraging words. Henry Poppitz and I took that to heart. Henry has been with us since 2020. Grown quickly into the tasks. Helpful and inquisitive. Flexible and yet consistent. A buddy - but also tough on the matter. Namely that we must not get tired when it comes to #sustainability. This is a huge opportunity in the county. Overall. You can find some more information about him and his tasks here .

Back to the story. This blog is also intended to announce the latest news about our work from time to time. Henry Poppitz sent an email at 3:26 p.m. Monday. Content - let's try again. After the basic "GO" from the committees, we were able to win a new partner for the continuation of the project. Continuation because the first aircraft was already successfully recycled in Rothenburg :) Nevertheless, further steps are required. And maybe we can take some of that with this project.

Henry describes his mood and state of affairs as follows:

"We had almost two weeks (with public holidays) to find a new partner for our joint project "CCRR". are taken into account and compromises are found. We have now created a solid common basis and are all united in the high amount of work that has been catching up with us again and again for more than a year in the processing of this project idea. But that also welds us together and we want these efforts together with a positive result. The potential new partner also had to adapt very quickly and agilely to our tight time corridor. After many phone calls, we ended up at the company "SchoForm GmbH” from Demitz-Thumitz and immediately found open ears. A stroke of luck for both sides - we now had the missing piece of the puzzle for our joint project and SchoForm GmbH is very open to new ideas and was quickly interested in working together, a precision landing! There was still a week left to explore and adjust the interfaces between the partners, to fill the modified sketch form with life and to update everything else. So we actually managed to do it and met the deadline of May 31st... now we're curious to see when we'll get some feedback on the project outline."

We would like to implement the project. keep your fingers crossed for us :)
