Reinforcement for the tourism team

Saskia Beug has been supporting the ENO tourism team since 2021. It all started with a practical semester, during which she gradually integrated into our structures. She has been an integral part of the ENO team since February and is helping to promote the district of Görlitz with its tourism features. But now let's let them speak for themselves.

My name is Saskia, I'm 22 years old and originally from Oybin. In 2019 I started studying tourism management at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. My home town as part of the Zittau Mountains is a popular tourist destination. So there was always a lot going on and so I got to know a lot about the tourist world - which aroused my interest. So I decided to study this.  

I moved to Görlitz for this professional path. In the 4th semester, the internationally oriented practical semester was scheduled, but this was not possible due to the corona pandemic. Actually, I would have liked to go to Austria to get an insight into the tourism structures there, but so I looked for a practice partner in Görlitz and found the ENO! Because I liked it so much here, I decided to continue working as a working student after my practical semester. I have been employed by ENO since February 2023. As part of the tourism service point, I help organize events such as the Star Bike Ride and the Tourism Innovation Award. The creation of brochures and the preparation of meetings are also part of my area of ​​responsibility. I am also currently in charge of the “Outdooractive” platform for TGG Neisseland and the social media channels.  

My favorite places in priceless land are the Zittau Mountains and Lake Berzdorf, especially in summer. I love swimming and walking in the warm season and hiking in the cooler days of the year. Otherwise I like to play badminton, meet friends and go to concerts.
