Hello!
Today we welcome Lisa Graen to the ENO and look forward to working with her and also to introducing her here.
Dear Lisa, you came to Cottbus from the west, but have been an enthusiastic resident of Görlitz for a number of years now. How did that happen?
I'm originally from Hildesheim, but I decided early on to leave my homeland and have been living in Lusatia for more than eight years. I completed my bachelor's degree in Cottbus, and for my master's degree I wanted to specialize in culture and management in Görlitz . I was also told that I can make a good contribution in Görlitz. That was what appealed to me at the time.
Did your family and friends wonder about this decision?
They weren't so surprised: I've always liked to be on the road and therefore also further away. When it then went even further east from Cottbus to Görlitz, it was no longer a big leap. In addition, both grandmothers come from what was then Silesia, so Görlitz was unknown to anyone within the family.
Görlitz has a very active cultural scene that you got involved in, where could you have been seen before?
Yes, I was happy to get involved here, for example I worked for two years at the art and culture festival Zukunftsvisionen , worked at the Silesian Museum and wrote my master's thesis together with the Görlitz Collections - it was possible in Görlitz.
And how did you decide to stay in the region after completing your studies?
Together with my partner, I decided to stay in the region after completing my studies. There are several reasons for this: I was able to build up a network here in a relatively short time, from which I draw mainly in my private life. This also includes my team, the CVJM, with whom I pursue my long-standing passion, volleyball. I like being active in sports and can indulge in many hobbies here: hiking in the Zittau Mountains , long bike tours in the district and swimming in the Berzi. The cultural initiatives in Görlitz were and are always decisive. And of course the rents are cheap here.
You are now new to the ENO Education Service Point . How do you approach the new tasks?
I am happy to be working in a job where I can contribute my skills and continue to actively shape the city and district. continue to make the district attractive and to offer prospects, especially for young people . I'm looking forward to my new tasks and I'm curious to see how long I'll ultimately stay in Görlitz. I'm definitely still keen on it!
Welcome to the ENO, dear Lisa!
Best regards!
Your Jasna
