The binational project team was happy about the cooperation
Environmental education, the second
2021 was the premiere: the ENO Education Service Center successfully implemented the 1st Environment Day in the district of Görlitz. It was clear to everyone that this new type of environmental education should not become a flash in the pan. Because the Environment Day was equally well received by all schools in the district.
The fact that the implementation of environmental education measures has priority in the district of Görlitz became clear again this year - although unfortunately the Environment Day could not be realized as big as last year. Of course, it still became a binational, transnational cooperation. Together with representatives of the Tęcza schools in Zgorzelec, which are sponsored by the DPFA Europrymus the E NO Education Service Center has produced an environmental brochure. All pupils in the fourth grades of both districts - on the German and Polish side - will be surprised with this bilingual booklet in the following school year.
The brochure is intended to sensitize the children to their own environment at an early age and to introduce them to the topic in a playful way. The booklet contains recipes that you can try out with the cooking spoon provided. An insect dictionary explains the most important characteristics of our smallest roommates. Tips and tricks for a sustainable life are also given. A small highlight are the handicraft instructions that show how to provide insects with a house in your own garden or how to make seed bombs that make the most beautiful flowers sprout. A seed bag is of course also included in the booklet.
We are very pleased to have realized the brochure and are excited to see how it will be received by the students and hope you enjoy reading it!
Best regards!
Yours, Lisa & the ENO service point for education
The implementation of this brochure was made possible by the small project fund Interreg Poland – Saxony 2014-2022 from funds from the European Union within the framework of the European Fund for Regional Development, from funds from the Free State of Saxony and the State of Poland.
