At the school conference on September 20, this became clear in a convincing way. "We were thrilled how many participants registered from the entire district area," says Ricarda Wild-Noisten from the #education service point of the ENO. Teachers for vocational orientation, counseling teachers, practice consultants, career entry guides, school social workers and careers advisers accepted the invitation.

Lively discussion

Together with the Federal Employment Agency and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the ENO wanted to provide information on career orientation instruments. Lectures and discussions included the INSIDER package , the trainee speed dating, LOOK IN! and the SCHOOL ECONOMY . “However, the main focus of the event was the exchange and making new contacts. We were all the happier about the numerous requests to speak and lively discussions on the topics of the conference and career orientation in general," reports Saskia Heublein, head of the #education service point.

In addition to many discussions and the exchange of experiences, it is always impressive to see how professional orientation and professional training are implemented in practice. to experience an exciting tour of the sawmill of HS Timber "This tour was really impressive," says Saskia Heublein. “We were able to be there live during all the work steps and experience how various strips are made from a tree trunk and how the wood is 100% recycled. We were very impressed by how committed HS Timber presented itself and enriched our school conference.” HS Timber Productions GmbH is a member of the SCHULEWIRTSCHAFT district of Görlitz network . Together with numerous other representatives from business and schools, the plant is committed to the common goal of making it easier for young people to make the transition to the world of work and to securing the next generation of trainees and future specialists for the economy.
