The Awakening of the Watermill

"It's nice here," I thought as I stood in front of the old, new mill and pressed the bell. Red-brown brick wall on the left and cozy wooden facade on the right part of the building.

The water mill in Förstgen presented itself as idyllic, magical and inviting. A friendly "Hello" pulled me out of my thoughts. With a happy smile on her face and outstretched hand, Annett Hertweck stood in front of me. Next to her employee Stefan Kotschmar. Both are the tireless engines of a unique project, as I was about to find out. We entered the small cozy cafe. However, the nature conservationist did not give me time to linger. Not yet. "We'll do a tour first, so you can get an impression," she invited me. What then followed was a passionate firework display consisting of challenges, diligence, creativity and cohesion as well as a flood of names.
