During Advent, the Christ Child (dźěčetko) comes to the children in the villages of the Schleife parish. It doesn't bring them the big gifts that Santa Claus comes with.

It also distributes small gifts such as nuts, apples and gingerbread. The Christ Child wears a special variant of the Schleifer costume. Does every village have its own Christ Child?
