Project business is challenging. Developing cross-border project ideas is even more challenging. But exciting. We live in the Euroregion. In the border triangle of Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany. From my perspective, a chance and a possibility to live in Europe. Of course, there are also many things that do not work properly. But when I walk through the Polish part of the Fürst-Pückler-Park in Bad Muskau or go skiing in the Giant Mountains, I don't want to miss that region - my homeland.  

Enjoying the region in a beautiful and relaxed way is one thing. Being able to actively shape things here is another. It is precisely this opportunity that motivates me and is my task. In recent years we have been able to implement many smaller and larger projects Euroregion Between municipalities, institutions or even on behalf of the districts. Some of these projects are visible. Others more in the background. I especially enjoy projects with joint events and meetings between partners. Our Star Bike Ride is such an example. Mostly cyclists from Poland and the Czech Republic come to our destination with great enthusiasm. Or the international children's newspaper . All small elements that can further promote our common thinking.

Depending on general conditions 

I am firmly convinced that we must continue to receive financial support from the European Union for joint projects in the future. Otherwise everyone is "in the tunnel" for themselves. European funds are required where joint financing must be sought. An example here is the introduction of the cross-border system solution in the event of a disaster. It's not good when a dam breaks somewhere (we all still remember Witka) and the comrades can only get information at great length. In two projects, together with the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, we were able to take on the project management for the introduction of the necessary infrastructure, both German-Czech and German-Polish.

Cross-border applications of this kind are currently in short supply. The funding background is updated. This means that in 2022 (hopefully) there will be clarity as to where and how projects can be applied for again on which topic. And also at what subsidy rate. Many joint projects have resulted in good contacts. Contacts who are cordially invited and asked for advice even without a funding program. We are currently using this to prepare for the future funding period. Last week I was able to go to Jablonec . We met at G&B Beads Where, if not there, should good ideas be discussed 😊. The topics were varied. From handicrafts to tourism, from education to transport. Issues that unite us. Topics that should not stop at a border to be thought about together. We took concrete starting points with us. Now the search for partners and possible project participants begins. We are at the very beginning. But the paper is constantly filling up and I am optimistic that we are well prepared. Be prepared for when the conditions are clear. Then we have thought of meaningful and good projects and can submit them as an idea.
