Result report bundles milestones and results of the "Lausitz Vital" project
For two years, the Lausitz Vital project has been working on the idea of creating a model region for health management, health science and care in Lusatia.
During this time, a network of actors from these areas has emerged. The current and future challenges in the health sector in the region were discussed in numerous network meetings, interviews, surveys and expert discussions. The results are now summarized in the Lausitz Vital results report on 35 pages.
"I hope that the report will contribute to the further development of Lusatia as a health region and to pursuing the recommended actions in further measures and projects," says project manager Annabell Krause optimistically. The network can also be used beyond the completed project period of Lausitz Vital. The communication structures, such as the newsletter and the website, have become established. They will continue to be maintained and used by the partners. Annabell sees a good chance that Lausitz Vital's previous work will not fizzle out: "It is now also up to the actors themselves to keep the network alive." The foundations for this have been laid.
The report shows that recruiting skilled workers is a nationwide problem and an enormous challenge for our region. The creation of a nursing course at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences was an important positive signal for attracting young people to future-oriented and high-quality nursing training. Health tourism can also help to market itself as a region of resilience and deceleration and attract health-conscious, mindful people to Lusatia. Together with the players in the network, it is important to use this potential and develop offers. “The development of a health region should play a central role in the structural change in Lusatia. The Lausitz Vital umbrella brand and the network behind it could be used for this,” explains Annabell.
The result report is distributed to all network partners, districts, municipalities and other decision-makers. It can be viewed directly on the website.
