Innovative mobility for Lusatia

 Innovative mobility for Lusatia

One year of primary + public transport

The PriMa+ÖV (private ride-sharing services + public transport) project is celebrating its first anniversary and is making significant progress towards strengthening mobility in rural areas.

The aim is to intelligently link local public transport with taxi services, social ride services and private rides in order to ensure needs-based and efficient mobility.

First year milestones

Successful collaborations and test area selection
Last year, the project team worked intensively on networking with local partners. The first partnerships with taxi companies and municipalities in the catchment area of the Oberlausitz-Niederschlesien GmbH transport association were established. The area around Weißwasser has emerged as a promising test area, and collaboration with a local taxi company has already started.

Progress in technological development
A central element of the project is the development of an innovative app. This is already at an advanced stage and was presented to the employees of the cooperating taxi company in an initial test phase. In the coming months, a detailed test of its practical suitability is scheduled to be carried out in order to optimally adapt the application to the needs of the users.

Targeted public relations work and citizen participation
Communication with the public plays a key role in the success of the project. The specially set up project website is already online and is constantly provided with up-to-date information. Two highlights of the public relations work so far were the presentations of the project at the polisMOBILITY expo & conference trade fair in May and as part of the European Mobility Week on September 16, 2024 in Görlitz.

Outlook and participation
For the coming year, the project team invites interested citizens to actively participate in the test phase as users in the Weißwasser, Boxberg and Krauschwitz area.
