Project start for “PflegePlus”
The development company Niederschlesische Oberlausitz mbH (ENO) started the innovative project “PflegePlus – Innovative Employee Retention” on May 1st.
Funded by the Saxony Skilled Workers Guideline, this project aims to make care companies in the region aware of the importance of a life-stage-oriented human resources policy and to offer them appropriate recommendations for action.
The aim of the “PflegePlus” project
is to help nursing companies better tailor their working conditions and offerings to the individual needs of their employees. Measures such as flexible work schedules, childcare options and health-promoting initiatives are intended to improve the balance between work and private life. Another focus is on digitization in care in order to simplify work processes and reduce bureaucracy.
Employee survey
A comprehensive employee survey will be conducted from July to September 2024 to gain valuable insights into the needs and satisfaction of nursing staff. This survey can be carried out both in paper form and digitally and is aimed specifically at nursing staff in inpatient geriatric care. Care facilities are invited to take part in the survey to help improve the working environment. Project manager Sandra Bardely points out that expressions of interest can also be submitted online: “Nursing facilities that would like to take part in the survey can express their interest on the Lausitz Vital network website . Questionnaires in the required languages and the link to the digital survey will then be made available.”
Implementation and collaboration
The development and analysis of recommendations for action is carried out in close collaboration with nursing staff and managers through exchange formats and network meetings. Partners from the Lausitz Vital network and practice companies such as the Am Spreepark care center and Diakonie St. Martin are also involved. After the recommendations have been developed, they are tested in a pilot phase and evaluated together with the staff.
Cooperation partners
The project is implemented in close cooperation between the ENO, practice companies, the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and the nursing coordinator of the Görlitz district. The aim is to sustainably improve working conditions in the care industry.
