Hydrogen, the second

Hydrogen, the second

Hello!

Last week, the 2nd Upper Lusatia Hydrogen Forum (WFO) Technology and Start-Up Center (TGZ) in Bautzen . Heike Schleussner , the head of our task force on structural change, was fully committed, as was the case at the 1st Hydrogen Forum, and was delighted with the enormous response.

More than 100 participants were there and the networking of important hydrogen players and interested parties is now really progressing in big steps and across countries and districts.

" Michael Paduch , the managing director of the TGZ and head of the energy agency of the district of Bautzen, was just as energetic as Jens Frühauf , head of district development in the district of Bautzen, and Thomas Rublack , head of department in the district of Görlitz," reports Heike with a smile. It is important that everyone emphasizes the importance of hydrogen for the future and the need for close cooperation between municipalities, companies and the environmental agency at state level and that this is also tackled in a structured manner, explains Heike.

After wonderfully warm and trend-setting greetings from the district representatives, Heike gave a review of the first WFO in July 2022 in Görlitz . She reported on the good cooperation with the Brandenburg hydrogen network Breathing through and the goal of the WFO to bring together needs and production capacities for hydrogen in order to create implementation projects for the region.

What made everyone particularly happy was that there have been milestones that have already been reached since last July.

Because: since the 1st WFO, important developments in relation to hydrogen such as the search for a location for large electrolysers, coordination with the network operators and further value chains with Power-to-X products and hydrogen transport have already been initiated.

In addition, twenty players in the hydrogen economy from Upper Lusatia introduced themselves. It's amazing how committed people are already thinking about tomorrow's solutions today! Miss Dr. Frances Zedler , Managing Director of Energy Saxony , then presented the new Saxon competence center for hydrogen - then it continued at a breathtaking pace with the presentation of hydrogen projects from the region: the LEAG gigawatt factory , opportunities for hydrogen in Nebelschütz , further hydrogen training in Network in practice, the 3D-AERO eV network . and the integration of hydrogen into the gas network.

"Networking" does not always have to be digital. On the map, the hydrogen (interested) actors of Upper Lusatia network analogously, as numbers - but in the forum you finally get to know each other again with name, face, handshake and a smile over coffee in the break.

At the end of the intensive and instructive event, not only Heike was sure that she was on the right track.

"The encouragement of all these companies and players makes me highly motivated to look forward to the upcoming hydrogen forums," Heike explained in conclusion. And we are excited too.

Best regards!

Yours Heike & Jasna

The Upper Lusatia Hydrogen Forum is committed to the development of a hydrogen economy in the region and brings together stakeholders and potential. It offers a platform for the exchange of experiences and ideas. Requirements and production capacities for hydrogen continue to be collected. Are you interested in being informed about further developments? Feel free to register here!

These are used to promote the joint and strategic expansion of the infrastructure. In February, two working groups will be held to discuss hydrogen mobility and the development of sustainable commercial and industrial areas. backgrounds to this? Please here -> this way !
