The tourism cooperation of the district of Görlitz has existed for 10 years and is made up of the district of Görlitz, the European town of Görlitz-Zgorzelec , the Zittauer Berg Nature Park/Upper Lusatia tourist community and the Neisseland eV tourist community.

In these 10 years, many joint projects have emerged, also in the field of marketing . , we have designed and successfully set up joint trade fairs and events and have grown together quite a bit as a cooperation, but also as a region," explains Maja Daniel- Rublack Service Leisure , beaming.

This is how an equal partnership, in which everyone shares a great deal of trust, came into being. 

"Not only the mutual exchange, the common formation and finding of opinions, but also that and how much we learn from each other" make this partnership what makes this partnership, says the project manager, who proudly presents the latest "baby" of the tourism cooperation: the "tear block".

Because: although nowadays everything and much more is available online, tourists and day-trippers - also from the region - ask at the tourist information for family-friendly cycling and hiking routes, for excursions in nature or for tours with a cultural connection. "And that's a good thing, because the tourism professionals and the employees in the leisure facilities are most happy about the direct exchange with the guests," emphasizes Maja Daniel- Rublack . Because despite all online possibilities: nothing beats contact with the guest. And the good feeling of not being dependent on the battery level of your smartphone or the network quality of the different wireless networks in our region on an extended tour with the whole family.

"So we came up with something new, so that the guests come out of the excursion advice center with a classic map that shows tour tips and sights and hold something nice and useful in their hands . " explains Maja Daniel- Rublack . On the sheets of the "tear-off block" there are tour tips for cycling and hiking tours along the Neisse. On the front and back of the sheets to be torn off, six tour suggestions for each region (Neisseland, Görlitz, Zittau Mountains Nature Park) are briefly presented for mostly short to medium-length round tours - divided into three categories - "For children and cones", "To discover" and " for the ambitious".
