Dear participants of the Sternradfahrt 2024,

On Saturday, August 24th, 2024 it's that time again - this year the star bike ride takes you to the beautiful Olbersdorfer Lake! To ensure your experience is safe and enjoyable, we would like to provide you with the latest information and some important tips. And: please don’t forget your bathing suit!

After the tour, you can look forward to the colorful program for young and old at Lake Olbersdorf :

Music, fun and entertainment await you from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. - including:

♦ from 1 p.m. Blubberey Walking Act - Show & Enchantment with giant soap bubbles

♦ from 1.30 p.m. Funkengarde Friedersdorf - dance and good mood                                   

♦ from 2:20 p.m. circus ball hula hoop show - with the magical Kathi       

                      

♦ from 3:15 p.m. Thalia Jonsdorf - dance & singing from Upper Lusatia

♦ Mobile from SachsenEnergie AG - crafts, games & fun

♦    Star wheel ride partners present themselves

Among others, the district of Görlitz with its tourist facilities, the Zittau narrow-gauge railway , the KiEz Seifhennersdorf , the Zittau Mountains Nature Park , and the ADFC Zittau . A special thank you to our entire team goes to Mr. Ferdinand Hepper from Seestern in Olbersdorf .

However, we would also like to draw your attention to some important current route information:

Zittau: Festival on the market square, stamp office open!
A festival will take place in Zittau from August 15th to 31st, with a special highlight on the market square from August 23rd to 25th. Although the street in front of the tourist information center is closed, the stamp office remains open. With a stamp ID card you receive a permit to pass through. If you don't have one yet, you can get one on site.

Bautzen: Information about the tour
Due to a complete closure between Rabitz and Jeßnitz, caused by construction work on the railway crossing, this section of the route is currently not passable.

Please allow a little more time for this detour and follow the detour signs.

Another note about the event:

There are no return buses this year. More information about return travel options here . You are also welcome to visit the official Sternradfahrt .
