With heart and hand

With heart and hand

Tradition to bite into

"I don't want to be a big baker. I just want to bake good bread.” Denis Wittig is a passionate baker. He took over the bakery from his father. Constant growth was never important to him. Traditional craftsmanship is the focus of his work. He gradually removed ready-mixes from production and went back to the traditional baking method. Increasing sales have confirmed him in this step. People think it's great and praise his baked goods: "I didn't do much there. It's just a lot of time invested," admits the master baker modestly.

Dare to dare something new

Starting your own brewery might seem a bit crazy these days. Two entrepreneurs in Nieder Seifersdorf dared to do it anyway. They have found their fulfillment in brewing beer. Master brewer Thorsten Scholz is proud to now be able to offer three types of beer that are selling well: “For us as a brewery, it is important to give something back to the region. Being able to shape our future together with people, companies and restaurants is priceless for us.” He and Andreas Görnitz are currently considering running a restaurant as well.

This passion and this love for one's own product and one's own work can not only be found with Thorsten Scholz, Andreas Görnitz and Denis Wittig. It is often immaterial values that bring an idea to life and contribute to the success of a company. With "Heart and Hand in Priceless Land" we want to track down people with these ideal values.

What matters is not what you do, but how you do it.

Our Unpayableland service point went on a search together with media partners in the region. In a first step, 10 portraits were created, which will be published step by step on the Unpayableland website. The spectrum ranges from numerical geniuses who carry out calculations for crash tests to artists who have found freedom for creativity in Weißwasser to a carpenter who sees his fulfillment in seemingly unsolvable tasks.

The column “With Heart and Hand in Priceless Land” lives from external impulses. Do you also know committed doers who enrich our business location with passion and lifeblood? We look forward to your information.
