I am therefore very pleased to be able to give something back with the special prize and thank all the volunteers in the Görlitz district for their ongoing commitment. This is tax money well spent.”
On behalf of the Görlitz district, the ENO #unbezahlbarland service point implements the volunteer budget for the Görlitz district. The award ceremony was also organized by the UBL team. “We really managed to pull off a surprise,” says service center manager Ingo Goschütz. "The invited clubs did not expect this special form of recognition."
Background:
The Free State of Saxony continued to support volunteers in the Unpayable Land in 2023. 150,000 euros were available for direct award. Applications for the volunteer budget could be submitted in the spring. A total of 566 applications were submitted. 391 of these were approved. Next year there will again be the opportunity to submit an application to support voluntary projects. This measure is co-financed with tax revenue based on the budget approved by the Saxon state parliament.
