Teachermania at TU Dresden
Yesterday the Unzahlbarland presented itself at Teachermania, the campus festival for teaching students at the TU Dresden.
During so-called “school dating”, prospective teachers had the opportunity to get to know Saxon schools and talk directly to teachers from these schools.
The Görlitz district was on site with representatives from a total of ten schools, including primary and secondary schools, high schools and independent schools. The students asked many specific questions about topics such as the traineeship, the required subject areas and everyday school life. “It was a successful event with great interest from the students. Many of them would like to go to rural areas after their studies, and some would even like to go back to their home regions,” reported Unzahlbarland project manager Ingo Goschütz. Therefore, this personal and direct approach to future teachers is of great importance in order to be able to win them over to the district. “The Rauschwalde secondary school was particularly happy to have a conversation,” reported Ingo. “So a former student will soon return to his old school as a teacher.”
The Unbezahlbarland team took the opportunity to provide information about the high quality of life and the priceless advantages of living and working in the Görlitz district. On behalf of the district administrator, department head Thomas Rublack visited the district's event tent, while Denise Kieschnick, head of the school and sports office, also took the opportunity to exchange ideas with the school representatives.
The event underlined the importance of targeted advertising and information campaigns to recruit teachers and showed how important direct exchange between schools and future teachers is. “Teachermania is an optimal opportunity to approach the target group directly. You couldn't advertise more appropriately to the target group," confirms Ingo.
The presentation of the Görlitz district was organized as part of the “Unbezahlbarland” image campaign by the ENO Unbezahlbarland service center in collaboration with the Lausitz Matrix eV
