Young economy in the district of Görlitz

The business juniors are worldwide. An excellent network of young entrepreneurs, a strong voice of the young economy. Also with us in the district of Görlitz. After laughing and discussing a lot in a small group in front of the computer yesterday evening, the decision was made to write a few sentences about the Görlitz Junior Economics.
Whoever asks wins
In 2008, I was able to see for myself how the Wirtschaftsjunioren Görlitz were founded. For 12 years now, I've been happy to be there as a listener, participant and source of ideas. Whoever asks wins. Sometimes it's the simple questions that make our heads grow tired. How do I approach this or that topic? Who has experience with similar problems, challenges or ideas? But sometimes there are also questions that are not asked "in a large group". Because you would have to solve the problem yourself. Or because you simply do not dare to address a problem openly. The Wirtschaftsjunioren give you the good feeling of being able to ask any question. And you quickly get concrete feedback. The answers do not come from an interest in selling, but because people help each other. I think that's excellent.
Questions become solutions
The approach of the Wirtschaftsjunioren is to help each other without directly billing materially for it. From this good feeling, of course, concrete cooperations can quickly develop. (Indeed they should). If I look around in "my" companies, I can assure you that the network idea works here without a doubt. If a tip from the Wirtschaftsjunioren was convincing for me and the solution seemed appropriate from my point of view, even taking into account all applicable regulations, why shouldn't I implement it from the network as well?! This lived practice is a nice side effect of networking, which I think makes sense.
A network lives from contacts
Of course, every network is currently faced with the challenge of having to do without real meetings. The business juniors also live from getting together, chatting over water ( :) ) and contributing to other networks. All of this is currently unthinkable. Nevertheless, all members of the board around Martin Schulz make every effort to continue to develop attractive ideas for the association. My respect for that. Whether it's the "experience with home office" or the discussion about the right diet and exercise in the current time, which always consists of zoom conferences - I listen to what I like - that's the offer.
Pay more attention?
I read a lot of headlines that say we have to become more digital, more modern and generally more future-oriented. From my point of view, it can only make sense to involve the young economy more, to ask them or to listen to them. It is the mixture of experience, optimism, vision and the common will to positively carry a company, a region or an idea forward. And that's why we should pay more attention to the young economy. They exist in all facets - services, industry, crafts and agriculture. Let them ask us what we need to do to encourage more people to take this step. I would like to emphasize one thing at this point. It makes sense to increase attention. From my point of view, however, there is no need for new networks and even more contacts. In the district of Görlitz we have the business juniors, a university with the start-up academy, the chambers and associations and local business development agencies as well as specific contacts in certain sectors. With FutureSax, we have a point of contact in Saxony for questions that we don't get answered and as a vehicle for further, national networking! That's a good basis for signaling to the world that we're in good shape. But new networks or "projects" that are created at desks - in the worst case even at desks that are outside of Upper Lusatia - then appear with funding and the next events, in my opinion only unsettle those who are looking for a good network .
