You also have to be able to let go

It really took me a little longer to find the right words to start the post with this text. Actually I still don't have it. That's why I just write the idle time. Empty prose as an opening. But maybe that's completely normal? I have been active in the district since 2005. And handing over a task that I actually enjoy is new to me. In concrete terms, it is about the museum network. For a number of years now, I have shared responsibility with the shareholders and the team. What I found, but where the journey can go - I've already written here Also about the problems of the lack of specialist knowledge in the field of museology or pedagogy in the management. The work has grown on me, despite all the worries and needs. Still, it's time to say goodbye
Nothing but expenses?
Looking back, I have to say thank you. Thanks to the many companions. We were able to complete smaller construction sites. These are administrative tasks, improvements in processes and networking with other houses. But we have also achieved great things. So there is a different perception of the association. We have acquired more funding together than seldom before. The recording of the content of the Königshain palace complex. The largest construction project in the history of the association in the granite mining museum in Königshain is currently being implemented. And all this always for our guests. Always with the goal of making art and culture attractive and tangible in rural areas. In retrospect, significantly more than 1,000 projects for old and young, big and small :)
abandon ship
Precisely because the association is so important to me, now is the time. The shareholders accepted my request to hand over the management on December 31, 2021. Now is the moment when new blood is just right for the museum network. And ideally 40 hours a week. The museum association deserves that. In order to give further impetus to the vision of a platform for art & culture in rural areas, the next level is needed. It is therefore an opportunity if we are looking for a new management here
The hikes in the houses, up to the granite mining museum, planning exhibitions and the feelings after a successful opening... Yes - I could list a few more things. And I will really miss a lot from 2022 onwards.
By the way, the picture was taken during a construction site inspection in the granite mining museum :)
I am happy about many references to the tender!
