The current Lausitz Monitor, which gives a dedicated picture of the mood of the people in Lusatia every year, is still fresh and is the subject of much discussion in our structural development circles.

In the results of this from Jorg Heidig and his team, it is clear again this year that many would like to be informed more about structural change processes. To be even closer to the small advances - and to see the big plans outlined in even more detail. We clearly see it as our task to refine this presentation and to spread the good news that all those involved in the district of Görlitz want to bring to the public. The fact that at the beginning of June some of the projects managed by our project managers Uwe Garack and Lars Semrok in the 3rd regional monitoring committee chaired by District Administrator Lange  shows us that we seem to be on the right track. Because the monitoring committee found exactly these projects (here the detailed descriptions) that we brought together with the idea providers to be really great - so that they will now be presented in Berlin and hopefully approved there as "good":

• Getting the train rolling - Station for creative minds: Expansion and implementation of a network and education center (Görlitz)

• Culture and tourism center Kromlau / Gablenz
• Acquisition of a left heart catheter measuring station for the Görlitz Clinic and
• GreenSpace for Coworking and Consulting Rietschen

In addition to this tangible confirmation of our cooperation with the creative project sponsors, we are also particularly pleased about a key figure in the Lausitz Monitor 2022. This was queried for the first time and represents a very pleasing value for all of Lusatia: general life satisfaction!

It is just as high in Saxon and Brandenburg Lusatia as in the rest of the republic. And although many (and us too!) still have a few question marks about the future of our changing region - one thing is quite clear: the people of Lusatia love their priceless land and appreciate exactly what they have in the region here.

And of course we are all a bit proud, there are more than 10,000 church day visitors , concert visitors (e.g. in the Nochten Findling Park!) , 9-euro ticket excursionists, cyclists , border crossers, open-air dancers , culture enthusiasts and nature and tradition enthusiasts - the people of Görlitz Tram turns 140! - to show this weekend. From the Eibauer beer train to the summer solstice celebration in the secret world of Turisede , from the Ahoj Festival (which, like so many other things, arose from a small private initiative) to the big concert on the lake stage at Lake Berzdorf, the district of Görlitz presented itself as worth living and happier than since "before the pandemic".
