Intensive discussions at the Lausitz Café
Under the name Lausitz Café, our S(ch)ichtwechsel working group organizes the Lausitz Café every two months in the UnbezahlbarLounge.
The aim of these events is the participation of the citizens of the district of Görlitz in shaping our common future in the region. As part of the Lausitz Café, they can actively contribute their ideas and suggestions and thus provide valuable impetus for our work. On April 4th the image campaign Unpayableland was the focus of the discussions. In addition to the organizers Wilhelmine Buscha and Saskia Brosius, Christian Fietze and Ingo Goschütz from the Unpayableland team were also actively involved. Here is an experience report from Ingo, the head of the #unbezahlbarland service point.
When we found out that our image campaign should be the theme of the Lausitz Café in April, we were very happy. After all, our campaign lives through the people of the district, through their commitment, their ideas and their attachment to their homeland. External impulses are therefore enormously important to us and always welcome. When implementing the campaign, we are constantly faced with the following questions: with which messages, with which content should we advertise our region, in what form and via which channels? Who do we want to address in which regions and how can we succeed in bringing skilled workers into the district from outside? With these questions we went to the Lausitz Café on April 4th. at four different tables in the discussion. At each table, a topic was discussed with five to six participants for 15 minutes. Then the groups mixed up again and switched to the other tables. As the host at the "County Sellers" table, I had the task of developing an idea for a provocative, ironic or funny advertising slogan with the participants in order to make people in other regions curious about us. I found that really exciting. In each group there were reserved, offensive, dissolute, taciturn, creative and pragmatic participants. A wonderful mixture that always led to a result after 15 minutes. The time went by very quickly. I was amazed at how people who don't know each other can have constructive and goal-oriented discussions around a table under time pressure. They all shared the goal of wanting to develop something new together that evening and to be able to actively contribute. My expectations were exceeded. We take home many new ideas for the implementation of the priceless country campaign from the Lausitz Café. I am very grateful that the 24 guests took the time to talk to us that evening. I would be happy if it stays with this encouragement. On June 6th, August 8th, October 10th. and 12.12. is another opportunity to actively participate in the Lausitz Café. I'm happy to be there again.
