Hydrogen mobility for our Lausitz

Hydrogen mobility for our Lausitz

1st working group - hydrogen mobility for our Lausitz

As regular readers of this blog know, the ENO, together with the Lausitz hydrogen network "DurcH2wandern" and many other committed actors in the region, have been doing network work for the use of hydrogen in many different areas since last summer.

After the successful 1st Lausitz Hydrogen Forum , which we reported on live, not only did the highly acclaimed 2nd Forum take place - the first working group on the exciting future topic of "Hydrogen Mobility" also met .

Together with the Fraunhofer IWU, the ENO invited - to promote hydrogen mobility in the districts of Görlitz and Bautzen. ENO-STARK team leader and transport economist Heike Schleussner discussed what it takes to pave the way for the first hydrogen filling stations together with transport companies, transport associations, science, administration and many enablers.

First of all, it was about exchanging knowledge about the most important questions and clarifying questions together:

How can you ensure the profitability of H2 drive solutions, which drive types and vehicle technologies are already conceivable for the near future? What are the H2 requirements in Upper Lusatia? How to build an H2 infrastructure? And in parts it has even become more concrete: with the question of where in Lusatia could be the best location for an H2 filling station?

Not only for public transport fan Heike Schleussner, who already has the Mobility vision Upper Lusatia made headlines, it is of course clear that hydrogen is the future of mass transit - or at least will be an important part of it. Accordingly, the future use of technology in public transport was discussed intensively - and, as a result of the discussion, findings for transport companies and infrastructure operators were also recorded. After the event, Heike was satisfied: "It was a very successful first round with an open and honest exchange! Successful examples such as the joint planning of LEAG together with Cottbusverkehr GmbH show impressively how it could work! We are happy about the exchange of experiences about the across national borders."

Feel free to contact Heike if you would like to participate in the working group!

Best regards!

We thank our partners and look forward to the next working group!
