Tasks for the 1st Innovation Challenge (1)

These are the first challenges for the 1st Innovation Challenge Lausitz - you are welcome to participate!

Hello!

Citizen participation has never been so modern!

What an innovation challenge is - and of course also that our innovation team of the task force is organizing our first own in the Telux in Weißwasser at the end of April, we have often described here. The places were booked up fairly quickly - however, we have reserved a few remaining places exclusively for the readers of the unpayableland blog.

So register with us quickly to learn exciting challenges based on the most modern approaches to design thinking! If you want to find out more about innovation challenges themselves, read on here.

We are pleased about the good response from the challengers, i.e. the companies, associations and institutions that are looking for innovative solutions to current challenges. It was not at all easy to work out the eight most exciting tasks from all the possible tasks submitted and to examine aspects of structural development

But that was initially the main task that Saskia , Wilhelmine , Clara and Ivana ( our innovation team) had to deal with. The background to this: we are often asked what one or the other project has to do with structural development Based on the first four challenges, we want to answer this question in detail - we will publish and explain the next four challenges here in the coming week!

The following four challenges are given to the teams to choose from:

1. How can a long-term citizen participation process for the project of an international sports academy  in Weißwasser look like so that the citizens of the municipality and neighboring communities see it as an opportunity? (Submission: Lusatian Foxes and the City of Weißwasser)

If you ask her about this project, Saskia is happy to explain in detail - after all, co-conception of the International Sports Academy Weißwasser one of her heart projects. "The foxes represent an important identity-forming aspect for the population in Weißwasser and in the entire northern district," explains Saskia, who, as a Weißkeißelerin, is herself a convinced resident of the northern district. As part of some major structural change projects, such as the settlement of Bafa or the DZA , among other things, highly qualified specialists will come to the region. "We want people who want to live (newly) in Lusatia to also find long-term prospects for their families," explains Saskia. An international school would do a lot to make the region more attractive . "And the foxes would also benefit from the academy - with a focus on ice hockey, of course." Because expanding your own recruitment of young talent is essential if the foxes want to play at the top end of the professional leagues in the long term...

2. How can a cross-generational and functional meeting point in Lodenau for the community and the village community look like in the building that is already available? (Submission from the Lodenau village community)

"We need attractive village centers so that young and old like to see their future in Upper Lusatia," explains Saskia succinctly and plausibly and is looking forward to the ideas, especially from the young participants in the challenge - students from the "Culture & Management" course at the HSZG .

vertical gardening  to the stereotype of the "bourgeois allotment gardener" ? (Submission United Nations University)

"We are particularly excited to see how allotment gardening can be taken to the 'next level' with a modern aspect, especially with a view to the sustainability strategy of the district of Görlitz ," report the colleagues from the innovation team. After all, many people would not have only discovered their passion for gardening and growing things themselves during the pandemic." In the big cities, the waiting time for their own garden has long been several years. "So why not polish up the image a little and the idea of allotment gardening a little modernize?" Saskia smiles and looks forward to the suggested solutions for this task.

4. How can you motivate young people to get involved in society and politics , for example in local and city councils? (Submission Network Junge Lausitz)

After the successful start of the Young Lausitz in the priceless lounge and the first further meeting of the committed young Lausitzers in the district of Görlitz, this important question is quite obvious. In order to make the future and structural change region of Lusatia modern, attractive and suitable for grandchildren, the participation of young people from Lusatia is urgently desired - which is why we especially invite young people to participate. involve the under-35s even more actively in future planning for their own living environment
